WHY HOMEOWNERS REMODEL
What Drives a Flooring Installation?
Floor replacement projects start in a lot of different ways. The most common reasons we install new flooring include:
- Worn, scratched, or damaged existing floors
- Outdated styles, patterns, or colors
- Water damage from a leak, storm, or appliance failure
- Allergy concerns when removing old carpet
- Pet damage and lingering odor in carpet or wood
- New construction or home additions
- Preparing the home for sale

Local Expertise, Proven Results
Trusted and locally earned
We generate most of our business through referrals from homeowners and businesses in the communities we serve. When you call us, you are getting a team that shows up and does the job right.
STEP-BY-STEP
What Is the Flooring Installation Process?
Long-lasting flooring depends on what happens before the first plank or tile goes down. Our process puts subfloor prep, moisture testing, and material acclimation up front so the finished floor performs the way the manufacturer intended.
Free Consultation and Material Selection
The process begins when you call us. We schedule an in-home consultation, walk the rooms in scope, and help you select the right flooring type and style based on traffic, moisture, pets, and budget. You leave with a clear sense of options and pricing.
Measurement and Estimate
We measure each room precisely and develop an itemized estimate covering materials, underlayment, transitions, demolition, installation labor, and disposal. Once approved, materials are ordered.
Subfloor Assessment
Before installation, we inspect the subfloor for moisture, levelness, soft spots, and damage. Concrete slabs are moisture-tested, and any subfloor repair work is identified and scoped before the new flooring is installed.
Existing Flooring Removal
You receive a detailed estimate covering labor, materials, and a project timeline. Once approved, we lock in a start date and order materials so everything is on-site when needed.
Subfloor Prep and Repair
The subfloor is cleaned, leveled, and repaired as needed. Self-leveling compound, sheet patching, and moisture barriers are used as appropriate to give the new flooring a clean, flat, dry base to install on.
Underlayment Installation
Plumbing, electrical, ventilation, and any framing changes are completed. Waterproofing is applied in showers, tub areas, and any wet zones per industry standards, and inspections are scheduled as required by local code.
Flooring Installation
New flooring is installed to manufacturer specifications, including required expansion gaps, staggered seams, proper adhesives or fasteners, and any pattern layout planned during design. Cuts, transitions, and edge work are detailed.
Trim, Transitions, and Final Walkthrough
Baseboard, quarter round, transition strips, and thresholds are installed. The space is cleaned, and we walk the finished floor with you to confirm the result and review care and maintenance for your new flooring.
WHO WE SERVE
Flooring Installation Built Around Your Home
Whole-Home Flooring Installation
Floors get more daily wear than almost any other surface in a home. The right product for your household depends on traffic, pets, kids, moisture exposure, and how the floor connects to adjacent rooms. The wrong product, or even the right product installed incorrectly, can fail in just a few years.
Whole-home reflooring is one of the biggest visual upgrades you can make. It also gives you the chance to unify the flooring style across rooms, simplify cleaning, and address subfloor issues that may have been hidden for years.
Whole-home projects typically include:
- Material selection across multiple rooms
- Carpet-to-LVP and carpet-to-hardwood conversions
- Tile installation in kitchens, baths, and entries
- Subfloor inspection and repair
- Trim, transition, and threshold installation
- Furniture moving and disposal of old flooring
Single-Room and Targeted Installations
Not every project requires reflooring the whole house. Many of our customers come to us with a single room that needs an update, often after a kitchen or bathroom remodel, water damage repair, or a flooring product that is finally past its useful life.
Our installers work with every major flooring category and follow manufacturer specifications on subfloor prep, acclimation, and installation. Even small projects are run with the same protection, cleanup, and warranty coverage as our whole-home installations.
Common single-room projects:
- Kitchen tile or LVP installation
- Bathroom floor tile installation
- Bedroom carpet replacement
- Living room hardwood or LVP installation
- Laundry room and mudroom flooring
- Post-water-damage flooring replacement
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Your Flooring Installation Questions Answered
How do I choose the right flooring for my home?
The right floor depends on traffic, moisture exposure, pets, kids, subfloor conditions, and budget. Luxury vinyl plank is popular for whole-home installations due to its durability and water resistance. Tile excels in wet areas. Hardwood adds long-term value in living areas and bedrooms. We help you weigh the options during your in-home consultation.
How long does a flooring installation take?
A single-room installation typically takes two to five days from start to finish, including subfloor prep and trim work. Whole-home reflooring usually runs one to three weeks depending on square footage, flooring type, and how much furniture and subfloor work is involved. Timelines are confirmed in your estimate.
Does homeowners insurance cover flooring installation?
Standard flooring installation is not covered by homeowners insurance. Flooring replacement tied to a covered loss, such as water damage, fire damage, or mold remediation, is typically included as part of the restoration claim. We can document the work to support your claim.
How much does flooring installation cost?
Cost depends on the flooring type, square footage, subfloor condition, and trim work. Materials alone can range from two to fifteen dollars per square foot or more for premium products, and labor and prep add to the total. Your detailed estimate will reflect the product you select and the work required.
Do I need to remove furniture before installation?
We move and replace most furniture as part of the project. Specialty items such as pianos, gun safes, or large appliances may require coordination or be handled by the homeowner. Closets and pantries usually need to be cleared out before installation.
What is luxury vinyl plank and is it really waterproof?
Luxury vinyl plank, or LVP, is a multi-layer vinyl flooring designed to look like hardwood or stone. Most LVP products are fully waterproof, scratch resistant, and significantly more durable than traditional vinyl or laminate. LVP has become one of the most popular flooring choices in Florida due to humidity resistance and overall durability.
Can you install over my existing tile or hardwood?
Sometimes. Certain flooring types, such as floating LVP or laminate, can be installed over existing tile or wood if the surface is level, sound, and the height transitions still work with doors and adjacent rooms. We inspect the existing floor during the consultation and recommend the right approach.
Will you bring flooring samples to my home?
Yes. We bring samples of luxury vinyl plank, hardwood, tile, laminate, and carpet to your in-home consultation so you can see and feel the products in your own lighting and against your existing finishes. Final material selection happens before any installation work is scheduled, with no pressure to decide on the day of the consultation.
Will the new flooring be covered under warranty?
Yes. Manufacturer product warranties apply when the flooring is installed to specification. We install every product per manufacturer requirements, including subfloor prep, underlayment, acclimation, and fastening methods, which is what keeps the warranty valid. Our installation labor is also warranted.
